Prepare the connection
Choose Gemini CLI in Assistant connections. Create a scoped Influence key and run the extension install command. Enter the key in the extension’s protected setup prompt. The Influence skill is included; manual HTTP MCP setup remains available. Before your first Influence request, set up Gemini CLI model access with a Gemini API key or supported enterprise authentication. Your Influence key only connects Influence.

Begin with a request for a draft, then inspect the account selection, text, and any attached image in Influence before taking action.

Start with Gemini CLI. Gemini web and mobile custom apps currently require a personal Google Account, age 18 or over, US location, English and Keep Activity on. The Influence connection in those apps is not yet supported. Importing a skill does not connect an account.
Available tools depend on your connection permissions, enabled Influence features and connected accounts. Features can also vary by assistant version. Use the signed-in Influence review when an embedded review is unavailable.
No. Influence requires an exact review and explicit confirmation before an assistant publish or schedule request enters delivery.
Upload new images and videos in Influence, then choose saved media for formats supported by each account. Review attached media while signed in before approving publication or scheduling. TikTok Direct posting choices and consent stay in Influence; TikTok inbox uploads finish in TikTok. WhatsApp visual messages also use signed-in Influence review.
Future posts that are still editable can return to a draft. After editing, review and approve the new version. Sent posts and uncertain sends cannot be changed this way.
Leave the post in Needs review while Influence checks what happened. Inspect the recorded result before another send, to avoid a duplicate.
