SocialPilotBuying guide

SocialPilot alternatives for solo publishers and agencies

Sendible offers client workspaces, Agorapulse combines inboxes and reports, and Metricool organizes brand analytics. Influence suits one business’s publishing.

Facts checked:

A shared photo folder, three figures and three separate folders with keys.

SocialPilot: The short answer

Sendible is worth considering for separate client workspaces. Agorapulse and Metricool are alternatives when messages or reporting drive the choice. Influence suits one business preparing and publishing its own content. SocialPilot Standard includes manager approval; Premium adds client approval.

Reasons to keep your current tool

Keep SocialPilot when its client approvals, reporting or agency workflow is required. Do not replace a working client-facing process with a personal scheduler solely because the account count looks generous.

Our recommendations

One business needs reviewed publishing

Influence can suit a business that wants assistant-led drafting and scheduling. SocialPilot Essentials covers seven accounts and one user.

Compare one-business costs

Clients need separate access and approval

SocialPilot Premium includes client approval. Sendible offers separate workspaces and lists approvals from Plus.

Publishing for agencies

Client reports matter more than scheduling

Metricool focuses on brand reporting; Agorapulse also provides a shared customer inbox.

Compare reporting-led choices

One business and five clients need different plans

For one person managing a business’s five accounts, the main limits are account capacity and monthly posts. An agency managing five clients also needs separate access, permissions and client approval. A one-business publishing plan does not replace those features.

SocialPilot Essentials includes seven accounts and one user for $30 monthly. Standard includes fifteen accounts and three users for $50, and adds manager approval. Both have enough accounts for a five-account business; the approval requirement changes which one fits.

Manager approval and client approval start on different tiers

A manager reviews work inside your team; a client reviews it from outside. SocialPilot Standard includes manager approval, while Premium includes client approval.

Sendible offers Core, Plus and Premium plans with workspaces and unlimited users. For a reporting-focused agency, Metricool and Agorapulse are also worth considering.

Publishing prices for your accounts

One account means one profile or Page. Posting an announcement to five accounts counts as five publications.

These plans cover publishing. Inbox, reporting and approval features differ by plan.

Example account and post counts

Some plans charge per account, person, brand or social set. A social set can limit how many accounts you can connect on each network. Posts are split evenly across accounts in these examples. Posting more often to one account may require a higher plan.

Example: publish a business’s monthly service roundup

The roundup covers one business’s confirmed service updates and approved images.

Fictional example: sample business, posts and delivery statuses.
  1. 1

    Collect the approved updates

Check what changed this month, which images can be used and which accounts belong to the business.

Oak Services confirms two October updates: Saturday appointments begin 24 October, and customers can request appointments online. An approved team photo is supplied.
  2. 2

    Prepare destination drafts

Choose the relevant update for each audience and keep the facts consistent across accounts.

    Facebook

Oak Services starts Saturday appointments on 24 October. You can also request an appointment online; wait for confirmation before visiting.

    LinkedIn

Oak Services adds Saturday appointments from 24 October. Appointment requests are also available online; our team will confirm your booking.
  3. 3

    Review the content

Check claims, links and media. If a client must approve, complete the authorized process before scheduling.

Check the start date, request link and approved photo. Confirm the selected business; a client’s sign-off remains a separate required process.
  4. 4

    Save the publication times

Verify the business, account and time zone. Separate clients’ schedules if using an agency tool.

Scheduled for 22 October 2026, 09:00 Asia/Bangkok (02:00 UTC), with one post for each selected account.
  5. 5

    Confirm the later result

Inspect delivery status and the published destination when available. Record an uncertain outcome for review before resending.

At 09:05, the first account shows Published and the second shows Needs review. Check the second account’s existing result before sending again to avoid a duplicate.

1. Edit the text and check the preview

Edit the text beside the selected account’s preview. Saving a draft leaves it available for more changes.

2. Review before approving

Bluesky

The review brings the account, post, date, time and time zone together. Confirm schedule saves this version for the chosen time.

3. Find the scheduled post

What carries over when you switch?

A move needs permission from each client whose accounts and content are affected.

  1. List each client, account, user and required approver.
  2. Retain authorized media and reports.
  3. Recreate a draft in the correct business context and test access.
  4. Verify format and time zone, then choose one scheduler for that item.
  5. Check the result before moving the remaining posts or canceling client access.

Client invitations, approval history, account permissions and branded reports do not automatically transfer.

The current signup requires a card before the seven-day trial. Charging starts after the trial under the selected plan's terms.

Questions before you switch

Does every SocialPilot plan include client approval?

Manager approval is included from Standard and client approval from Premium. Essentials does not include those approval features.

Are AI credits comparable between vendors?

No. A writing request or image can use different amounts in each product, so the same credit balance can buy different amounts of work.

Is Influence an agency portal replacement?

Influence suits one business’s publishing. It does not replace SocialPilot’s client portal, white-label reporting or multi-client permissions.
