Agorapulse alternatives for teams managing posts and customer messages

Agorapulse charges per person and shares profile capacity across the team. Sprout Social and Hootsuite offer broader management tools; Influence focuses on publishing.

Agorapulse: The short answer

Sprout Social and Hootsuite are closer alternatives when several people answer and assign customer messages. SocialPilot is worth considering for agency approvals. Influence is an option for one person preparing and publishing a business’s content. The examples below keep team size separate from account count.

Reasons to keep your current tool

Keep Agorapulse when shared messages, reporting and team processes are essential. Moving posts to another calendar does not recreate that operating workflow.

Our recommendations

One operator mainly schedules content

Influence can cover drafting and publishing for one business. Agorapulse may still be worth keeping if its inbox or reports are useful.

Compare the same workload

Three people share customer messages

Sprout Social and Hootsuite are the closer alternatives for a shared inbox, assignments and service reports.

Compare care and reports

Several clients need approval access

SocialPilot Premium includes client approval. This is a different requirement from reviewing your own draft.

Compare client requirements

One person and three people use the same ten profile slots

At the checked US monthly price, Agorapulse Standard is $99 for one user. Three users cost $297 per month. Both examples still include ten shared social-profile slots. Adding a person does not increase the included profile allowance.

A three-person inbox team needs independent access, assignments and permissions. A one-person publishing plan will not replace that setup, even if its account allowance is large enough.

Customer messages still need an inbox

Answering a Facebook message, assigning a conversation and preparing a service report are separate from scheduling tomorrow’s post. A publishing tool covers the last task; the others still need an inbox and reporting system.

Keeping Agorapulse for customer care means its subscription remains part of the total, even if publishing moves elsewhere. Sprout and Hootsuite are closer alternatives for replacing both the inbox and publishing. Influence covers post preparation, review and scheduling.

Publishing prices for your accounts

One account means one profile or Page. Posting an announcement to five accounts counts as five publications.

These plans cover publishing. Inbox, reporting and approval features differ by plan.

Example account and post counts

Some plans charge per account, person, brand or social set. A social set can limit how many accounts you can connect on each network. Posts are split evenly across accounts in these examples. Posting more often to one account may require a higher plan.

Example: publish a service update while messages stay assigned

The notice has a confirmed service date, support link and approved image. Customer messages stay with the current inbox team.

Fictional example: sample business, posts and delivery statuses.
  1. 1

    Confirm the approved notice

Check the service date, affected customers and contact link. Avoid promising a resolution that has not been confirmed.

Clear Water confirms a service pause on 26 October, 10:00–12:00 Bangkok time. It supplies an approved service notice image and an existing support link. Customer messages remain assigned in the current inbox.
  2. 2

    Prepare destination drafts

Write the useful details for each selected account. Include a clear support route where appropriate.

    Facebook

Clear Water’s service will pause on 26 October from 10:00 to 12:00, Bangkok time. Use our existing support page for questions.

    LinkedIn

Service notice: Clear Water has a planned pause on 26 October, 10:00–12:00 Bangkok time. Contact support through the usual page if you need help.
  3. 3

    Review the message

Confirm the factual wording and media. Keep formal escalation or legal approval in the existing process if required.

Verify the service window, support link, notice image and accounts. Publishing this notice does not answer or reassign customer conversations.
  4. 4

    Save the schedule

Verify the account and time zone. Assign the scheduled notice to one system only.

Scheduled for 22 October 2026, 09:00 Asia/Bangkok (02:00 UTC), with one post for each selected account.
  5. 5

    Check the outcome

Inspect the later delivery status. The published notice does not mean incoming customer questions have been handled.

At 09:05, the first account shows Published and the second shows Needs review. Check the second account’s existing result before sending again to avoid a duplicate.

Edit the text beside the selected account’s preview. Saving a draft leaves it available for more changes.

What carries over when you switch?

The team still needs to handle incoming customer messages while scheduled posts move.

  1. Export needed reports and list unresolved conversations.
  2. Confirm who will own incoming messages after the change.
  3. Recreate one approved notice on a permitted account.
  4. Verify its settings and remove the duplicate schedule from the old tool.
  5. Check delivery before moving the remaining publishing work.

Inbox history, message assignments, response-time reports and team permissions are not transferred by recreating a post.

The current signup requires a card before the seven-day trial. Charging starts after the trial under the selected plan's terms.

Questions before you switch

Do three Agorapulse users include thirty profiles?

No. The checked per-user plans share ten included profile slots across the organization. Extra profile slots are an add-on.

Can I compare the three-user price with one Influence operator?

The prices cover different work. Three Agorapulse users share an inbox and team permissions; the Influence example covers one person publishing for one business.

Will Influence replace the inbox?

Moving posts to Influence leaves the existing inbox and conversation assignments in Agorapulse. They need their own handover if you want to cancel that subscription.
